
Okay, folks, MeatWeek 2010 (the most futuristic MeatWeek ever!) is less than 2 weeks away... that means many different things for different people. For some it means pre-gaming it at your favorite BBQ joint. For others it means eating nothing but salad. And for still others it means spending hours on google image search looking for that perfect pic and breaking out the thesaurus to help work out that perfect, catchy phrase for their contribution to HypeWeek. But no matter which type of person you are, if you have the courage and the colon to participate, I and the rest of the nation's officers commend and welcome you with open, sauce covered arms. Break out your bibs and sharpen your plastic utensils... it's almost MeatWeek!
In case you haven't met me, I'm Carey, your captain, and co-founder of the Atlanta chapter. I'd like to thank the big man upstairs for helping me make this possible (er, the big man upstairs being my wayward co-Founder, co-Captain, and Brother-in-Meat, Matt Giovingo). I've been with Atlanta MeatWeek since its inception and never missed a day.
I'd also like to welcome Tracy Galasso, Atlanta's new (and first-ever) First Mate! She ain't new to MeatWeek, just new to the Officer's Quarters, and I am not ashamed to admit that she knows more about the 'Cue than I do.
We've got our schedule posted and some forum topics in place, so keep an eye on those areas for any changes or updates. We can't wait to see all you Meaters out for the fun this year!
